Godot 3.0.6 2D raster image scaling

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had a solution to image down-scaling problems? The images are blurred with jagged edges. however the images become crisp and clear when viewed at the original size.

An example is a 1080p Viewport game down-scaled to 720p.

PS: This issue is only present on desktop/html5 exports. mobile devices always render the images perfectly.

Make sure to import the image with both Filter and Mipmaps enabled; you can do this by going to the Import dock after selecting the image(s) in the FileSystem dock. (Mipmaps come helpful in 2D when downscaling textures.)

Godot 3.1 will feature support for trilinear filtering in 2D, making 2D downscaling look better when mipmaps is enabled. However, I'm not sure if it's enabled by default when importing an image with mipmaps (the demo project creates a texture manually using code).
