People not only making their own games, but developers also coding their own features into the source code and submitting it for official inclusion for everyone to benefit from.

This reminds us of the type of thing that we hoped Godot as an engine would become and what I think would help it become a direct rival to the big solutions, a truly community-driven development spirit that bring features which already have a documented use. Sure, the Bullet patch was great, but it's very good to see that people are tasking themselves with coding much larger features driven by their own game development, and then feeding them back into the official project (even though it is not required by the MIT license).
The larger patches are already being lined up for committing into version 3.2, let's see if Godot can make another big leap once 3.1 is released :)
