SIsilicon28 Have you seen Legend of Zelda wind waker? It's ocean is toon based. Although now that I mention it, there is actually quite a lot of styles too based water could have.

SIsilicon28 Oh man. This is kinda sad. Hey guys, I don't want to give you all high hopes, but after I make a 3D text plugin and add it to the asset store, I'm gonna come back to this project and complete. In memory of ywaby... No he's not dead. I think.
Megalomaniak @SIsilicon28 said: Man. It's been a while. Ywaby doesn't seem to be active. IRL stuff? Yeah, probably. At this point if your looking to make a simple water surface a SpatialMaterial will likely do well enough, but if you want a ocean or river shader with more niche features like procedural foam generation or flow direction for the waves then a custom ShaderMaterial might still be in order.
SIsilicon28 @Megalomaniak Yeah. But I think it would still be nice to have all of these available in a pack for convenience. Plus I worked too hard on the Buoyancy Body node I was working on to let it go to waste. ?
SIsilicon28 Ok! Progress has been made! The water bodies are officially now custom nodes. Some properties still need to be exposed, but it's better than before now. :) The Buoyancy Body nodes don't need a water body assigned to them. They'll find which nodes apply to them themselves. Fog is now standardized across all water bodies! They're region of influence is currently axis aligned though (x-z plane). Foam is also standardized, but needs some polishing, and is there whether you want it or not. :/ Rain now looks a little better, and the rain drops are now decals. They'll be combined into one effect in a later update. The waterfalls are still waterfalls (plus some tweaks). All in all, it's a point of development where it can be used.
