Need german translation of: VehicleBody and VehicleWheel - values in Inspector

Hi alls, i try to setup car physics...but its too hard to understand what all the values are. So can you please translate me this values into german: and what are the dimension units?

Maybe someone knows a page on which this is quite well described? Gladly as coherent text in English, then I could translate it ... But as described in Godot, I do not get it coherent ... Or who knows where to find the info about the values as text? I could also translate these ... a text file would be cool, something where I can copy the info out.

I think "The Gizmo in Godot" is referring to of the helper stuff (arrows, wheels, scale handles, etc) that appear when you select a node.

thank you @TwistedTwigleg , but i dont understand: i know, what you mean but for me it doesnt fit into the text i try to translate - here the whole text:

wheel_rest_length this is the distance in meters the wheel is in lowered from its origin point. Don't set this to 0.0 and move the wheel into porition, instead move the origin point of your wheel (the gizmo in Godot) to the position the wheel will take when bottoming out, then use the rest length to move the wheel down to the position it should be in when the car is in rest.

what part of this what you mean will only move the origion point? and not the complete instance?... in blender i know what it means but in Godot i didnt, only move the origin...

I think I know what it's trying to say. It took me a couple readings to (sort of) understand, because the text (not your post) is phrased a little awkwardly.

Anyway, what I think it's trying to say is this: You need to move your wheel node to the position the wheel will take when bottoming out (not sure what that means... I'm assuming it means when fully stretched out?) NOT the position it will take when in resting. To set the resting position, you change the rest length variable.

In other words: Move the wheel node (not its children) to the position of you want the wheel to be when it's bottomed out. Then, based on the rest length variable, it will move to the proper position when resting.

hmm...when i change the position of the node without changing the position of the parented mesh, my wheel will not rotate on its mesh center, it rotates on the center of the node - so this cant be the way... ...in 3D - when you select the node and change the position, the chidrens will change the position, too...you cant change the position only of the node without changing the position of it children...isnt? by selecting the children, you can change its position without changing the position of its node...but not in the other way... ...so i find out, right?

When it says move the wheel node, I think it means just the move the wheel move, making sure the children nodes are not selected. I think it’s okay if the children are moved along with (because their parent moves). I think what they are trying to say is “select only the wheel node and move that node, making sure the children node(s) are not selected. The children nodes will move with the parent, so you don’t need to move them individually.”

I have to admit it’s pretty confusing. I haven’t needed to use VehicleBody nodes (at least, not yet) but even reading about it makes my head spin, so I’m probably not the best person to be giving advice about all this...
