Godot 3.0.2 does not launch

Hi there,

Previous versions of Godot runs fine on windows, latest 3.0.2 win 64 closes after it's launched without displaying the editor. I'm running it as administrator.

3.0.2 launches fine for me on windows 7 SP1 64 bit. No compatibility modes, no special privileges. edit: tried running as admin, still fine.

Godot 3.0.2 works fine for me on Windows 10 64 bit. I have not tried it as an admin though...

I discovered i must add -e in the windows shortcut to force it to enter edit mode otherwise it closes. Also it always open the same project at start , instead of opening the project list, it is because of "-e" ? While previous version shortcuts for 3.0 stable always works and start displaying project list without needing the "e" argument. It might be a new bug.

Hrmm... From 3.0.2 release log:

could be related to that.

I don't know how it works , previous updates was able to open the current project list i opened with previous version. Godot should open an empty project list if it doesn't find anything and ask you to choose a project list. It worked better before.

Yeah, I definitely think this is something you should take to the issue tracker for further dissection and discussion.

I also use win 10 64 and have 3.0.2 copied to the same folder as 3.0.1 and 3.0 All versions run flawlessly and projects from 3.0 are taken over cleanly in 01 and 02. also the export templates are running as expected (apart from the rotating screen in landscape mode xD)

I reported to GitHub, Godot must not be in the same folder ad projects folders, install it anywhere else and it should launch. But previous versions worked whatever they have sub projects folders.

That's why I had no issues then. My long time experiences have led me to keep a very orderly filesystem structure and I have a projects drive where folders named after software go for each project. hence my projects never end up in weird places.
