For Windows (there is a free version):

http://www.fraps.com/

For Linux:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RecordMyDesktop

This latest one is well known and should be available for any Linux distro (depots)

Thanks for the links, wookie. Sadly I need if for Windows 10. And fraps doesn't work on Windows 10.
