As the subject says, these forums are probably most visited by coders. Do a lot of free lance or paid artist visit here? Where would someone shop around for sounds, textures, etc. to include in a game project? I know there are plenty of free sites, but sometimes you want something that is more customized for your project. Any links or information is greatly appreciated.
Where do you recommend shopping for textures, sounds, models, etc. to include in your game?

You are posting on a jobs board right now, blenderartists.org has one too then there's sites like turbosquid some of the 3d magazines come with royalty free texture pack's too many choices out there to cover them all really.

But yeah, I might be up for a few commissions.
If you're looking to hire someone or find a partner, you can try http://www.indiedb.com/jobs, http://www.conceptart.org/go/artjobs/ (2D art), or https://www.reddit.com/r/gamedevclassifieds to name a few.
I think the users is asking for advice on websites that have assets for sale, so i moved this to the general chat where it belongs, and turned it into a discussion being what it is. The professional trade section is meant for hire work, as the other users pointed out above.

IF this was indeed meant to be a 'looking for an artist to hire' thread, then I'll move it back.

This is fine, and thanks all for the links. When it comes to artist work, I couldn't draw a stick figure to save my life, but code, project management, planning, etc. is where I do best. I do try to use the search function here as much as possible, but sometimes it is best to just ask. :)
I'm not quite certain. You could always try something like the Unity Asset Store. I don't believe you are required to use those Assets exclusively in Unity, and they do have regular sales. I believe that something similar is currently being considered for Godot as well, but that will likely take time. Projects like that don't happen overnight.

My personal background is in graphic design, so I've never bothered shopping for graphical assets. I always just make my own. It is very time-intensive. But for me it's part of the fun.
I will know better how to use the Professional Trade forum now, glad to know this forum has a place strictly for that function, thanks all!
For textures i'd go here http://www.textures.com/ .
This is good to know about also: http://gaurav.munjal.us/Universal-LPC-Spritesheet-Character-Generator/#
Other than that, you should really look to hire an artist. Posting in the pro trade is one way, but users have already responded here so... You got some answers.
I'd also go looking on deviant art and wherever online(other users posted links on that).
Finding the right partner or contract for any job is tough, be sure before you pay/hire.

Personally i've also used the unity asset store before, it's currently still a good place to find stuff.
There is a Sounds assets pack there that is quite awesome(and on sale atm). And sounds are not trivial to make.
Also, some companies sell directly through the store which is nice.
Only assets from the unity store that for certain are limited to unity use are the ones by unity tech, the rest you should contact the respective authors about.
Thanks, all this info is great! I just want to make sure that any assets I use, will not cause problems later on, should I use a sound that was taken from a licensed source, or a texture that really belongs to another place. I want to be fair to those that put in the hard work of graphics/sounds/artist and don't want to see someone swipe an asset and give it out for free if it was suppose to be fee based for example. The last thing a graphics or sound guru wants to see is his/her hard work somehow landing in paid games without consent.
