Yeah, I'm sure a C++ plugin would work well. The trouble is I don't know C++ (and everyone says it's a pain in the butt) and from what I understand, building everything from source for each platform is another significant hassle.
Good to hear it runs well. I may be a bit overly concerned about getting it to perform on low-spec machines, but I don't like the idea of people not being able to run my game. I have an HD 4000, and that's better than what most people I know have. Actually I just looked at Steam's survey results yesterday and 8.4% of users have integrated Intel chips. The game gets down below 60fps on mine if I spawn more than 5 or 6 enemies I think. Though that may be CPU work dragging it down at that point.

These performance issues drive me nuts. Here we have these computers thousands of times faster than the ones around when I was a kid, and yet half a dozen enemy AIs start giving me issues. I can understand GPU bottlenecks somewhat, since screen resolutions are so high these days, but not CPU issues.
rant over haha

@Kiori I hope so! Thanks!

@Avencherus Thanks! He's absolutely a robot cat assassin, because what could be better than that? I never got around to animating the ears, but the bones are in the rig, waiting . . .

Looking at this project again is really good. I've really impressed myself with how well the graphics came out, haha. I'll try to do something better with the graphics in my shooter project.
