No correctly functioning video player

I have been having major problems with videoplayer for the last year. ogm uses the wrong colorspace so videos display with colors that are off, and the quality of .ogm compression is terrible. webm playback is jerky and unusable.

It looks like the future direction of the videoplayer from what I've read is with kidriggers new gdnative godot-videodecoder (https://github.com/KidRigger/godot-videodecoder). However I have been unable to get anywhere near being able to compile it on Windows using the directions... I get stuck and have errors with every compilation step (I have no idea what I'm doing).
Which leaves me without a properly working video solution. Does anyone know how to compile the new gdnative plugin or have a binary of it for windows?

And the other problem I'm having is no way of seamlessly looping video see: https://github.com/godotengine/godot/issues/25216
