Pseudo 3D scaling

Hey there!

I'd like to make a mobile Pseudo 3D endless runner. I'm basically trying (for now, as an exercise) translate those 2 articles into a Godot sample project:

For some reason though I just can't make the scaling to work properly. I've attached a .txt containing a test script to show my approach. It would be awesome if someone could make an example project so I can learn from it :)
