Racing car 3D video tutorial

The car is shaking and sliding too much on floor, i don't know how to fix it.

And i found out the problem:
the issue is only when the car has a collision shape...
so remove it from the car and it doesnt shaking...but adding a new collision, it is again shaking...
i searched for it and found out it must be a very old issue...

btw...the Truck Town Demo has the same issue, i looked on it and found the same problem.
hmm...but the car body needs a collision shape wor working fine...
The author made some comments on the video about the stability and sliding issues, it could be parameters you need to tweak like distance between wheels or the springs setup.
not really...i tried a lot with all this params and alltime it fall back to shaking sometimes faster, sometimes slower... but everytime came the time it shaked...
...it was hard for finding it out, but i found a solution with my own low poly car (cube and cylinder) and in this way i played allso with the collision box...now, try this:



the collision box of the car must be bigger like the car including the wheels (with steered whells), and on the same hight, like the wheels...hmm, hard to explain:
only change the collision box in this way you see on my pics and try it out...
for real collision with the world i actually try to define a second mesh and collission box, parented on car for better colliding.

I tried your setup, but the car is always shaking and sliding.
The collision body is supposed to be the car collision with other cars and racing track, how you setup is too big and height is too low to floor.
hmm...for me it works fine...no shaking.

i only resized the collision box of the car.
for colliding with world instances - thats right...the box is too big...this box mayby only for floor colliding ?
and a second one for instances around the world?

ok, this is mysterios:
i complete rebuild the sample with my own low poly car and street tiles and i cant reproduce the issue...
i played a very lot with the values of the whells, but it will not shake (only in brake by zero)
can you please take a look on it - do you have the same? no shakes?

I tried your demo and the car is not shaking or sliding.
It's a good starter to make car physic games.

for testing different setups, at first i need to know an easy way to get a collision shape for my terrains...not only a plane, a mesh form collision. ..
...but thats an other post

Collision shape for terrains should be easier with upcoming heightmap collision shape...
