like with anything new, you have to learn to use it, or just use what you already know. Spend time.. its a subjective matter.. most free LLM's can point you in correct direction and fix your little issue when it comes to linux and stuff.
you can also install deb packaged on arch using dpkg i think.. cant remember the name.. i know ive done it myself..
From personal experience, i was jabbed by ubuntu and debian, arch will leave you with some battle scars. And you know ladies love battle scars "D
Most things are faster with terminal, i use it more often than endlessly clicking through menus just to do one thing i know what i want..
when i was setting up my system and all the apps, i pre written the apps i wanted and just pasted the long ass command into the terminal and it did the thing while i had free time to do other things.. And all apps were set up.. no time wasted searching for download now page or endlessly browsing app manager etc etc..
Debian unstable broke my system when i was testing it, and debian stable didnt have all the apps i wanted to use and many that they had were outdated...
For servers i use debian.. but now that 13 is out, i have to upgrade all my servers, but im too lazy.. At some point in time they will stop releasing upgrades and the 12 will not be able to upgrade.. that you have to keep in mind aswell the mega system upgrades..
In any case - btrfs so that you can backup system with snapshots, just in case, and the rest is applications that you want to use
