SeaApes you're welcome, glad to help and to be able to play 😉 it's a very promising game.
SeaApes our ideal goal would be to have one difficulty starting easy to engage most players and then have a smooth transition to getting challenged in later chapters.
To achieve this, you can make a tutorial level or two (one with a dummy, literraly like a scarecrow, boss), with a "fake deck", ie cards are generated as needed by values & symbols. For instance, too enemies one without symbol, 12 Hp, the second with the blue one, and 11 Hp, generate these cards in order (+ guidance on what to do, for which purpose, with what effect): 6/any, 10/any, 6/any, 1/any, 2/blue, 2/any, the last two twos, or any number, just to finish them.
And like how it's done with solitaire variants: start by adding 100 or 75 % of more cards than needed (bigger deck than the standard one), then the exceeding amount decrease, 50%, 25%, 20%, 10%, 5%, 0% until only luck can help beating the level.
So beginner and casual players will still enjoy the beginning while gaining experience and mastering the mechanics, this can be very important for Steam and other reviews.
