xyz That is what I was thinking would be the solution. I just didn't know if there was a better way to do it. Thanks, I'll just stick with my original thinking.
The only problem is you could walk around a corner and suddenly a light appears that should have illuminated some of the path before hand. Mmk, I guess there or restrictions with 2D if you aren't going to create custom code to control things like lighting. I could create maybe a CanvasModulate that covers the light, that isn't part of the light mask the light illumines. I don't know though if when my characters light reveals part if it would also reveal part of the light behind it or not.
